BOTOX® is the only approved treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines in adults.
Botox® is the most popular injectable anti-wrinkle treatment. It blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscles can’t contract. That reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a technique-sensitive treatment. You should not lose your natural look when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy. It is important to talk to your provider about the results you want from treatment.
Most patients report that injection feels like a pinch. If you are concerned about discomfort, your provider may apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment.
Prior to treatment a skin analysis consultation is conducted to make sure the treatment is suitable for you and find out what you expect from the treatment. During the treatment the doctor will inject the gel using ultra-fine needle. The gel will then fill the lines and wrinkles or add subtle volume.
There is minimal downtime and your practitioner may give you specific aftercare instructions.
You should not have this treatment if:
- The injection site is infected
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have a neuromuscular disorder (e.g. myasthenia gravis).
