Sky Clinic Ltd is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of all those who use our website and our services in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Collection of Data

We collect data from you in the following ways;

  • When you call us requesting information
  • Using our website (we use Google Analytics which collects your IP address)
  • Booking a consultation request on the website
  • Sending us a message via our website contact form
  • Completing our registration form if you use our services

This personal data will include your name, email, telephone number, emergency contact and relationship to you, date of birth, name/address of doctor and medical information/history.

We collect this information so that we can either;

  • respond to your enquiry
  • ensure we fully meet of all of our clients’ needs
  • send you information about new products and special offers via email and text
  • message (should you no longer wish to receive these marketing communication there will always be an easy to follow opt-out method)

We hold your data either with your consent, so that we can fulfil our contract with you or because a legitimate interest exists (e.g. you are already a customer of ours or have expressed our interest in our services).

Sharing Data

We do not share your details with third parties other than our email and text messaging service (please see section below).

Storing your Data

If you enquire via the website, your data is stored on our email system and our email automation software. We use your data to respond to your enquiry and to let you know about our products/special offers or related news in the future. There will always be an opt-out method provided if you wish to unsubscribe in the future.

If you use our services the majority of your personal data will only be stored on hard copies, and these copies are stored in a locked cabinet in a secure part of our building.

Your name and email address may be stored on our email system and used to send you marketing emails.

We also store your name and telephone number on our ‘Text Magic’ messaging service. We process this data to send you information regarding your treatment/appointments and related marketing information about Sky Clinic. We will hold personal data for insurance purposes for seven years. We review our data annually to do our best to ensure that we only hold data for as long as necessary. If you remain a client for longer than seven years, we will continue to hold and use your data.

For customers of Sky Clinic who pay by credit/debit card, we only store patly encrypted account details in our payment machine, and we keep receipts for six years for accounting purposes.

For suppliers and industry partners, we store contact and bank account details. We use the information to make payments.

Right to Opt-Out

All of our marketing communication will always contain an opt-out method should you wish to unsubscribe. If you are a client, we will need to continue to contact you via email/text message regarding your treatment.

We take a proactive approach to user privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their visiting experience. Our website complies with all UK national laws and requirements for user privacy and uses a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate.

We take actions to minimise security breaches, for example, using complicated passwords, anti-virus software and only storing basic contact details electronically.

Our website uses tracking software to monitor its visitor’s experience to understand better how our site is being accessed. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive to track and monitor your engagement and navigation of the website.

Cookies are small, harmless files saved to the user’s computer’s hard drive that track, save and store information about the user’s interactions and usage of the website. While we do take all applicable technical and organisational measures to safeguard your electronic data and only use secure servers, it is impossible for us to secure the whole internet entirely. As a user, it is your responsibility to acknowledge this and to understand that the personal details you give to us by your own choice across the internet are transferred at your own risk.

Social Media

Our social media engagement is subject to the customs and privacy policies of each social media platform. Social media may have their own tracking cookies in place.

While we take great care to ensure the security and safety of our follower’s personal information, it is up to the individual to use the platforms with due care and caution regarding their own privacy and personal details.

Sky Clinic will never ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as telephone or email.

If we use social sharing buttons which help share web content directly from web pages to the social media platform in question, users do so at their own discretion. By default, some social media platforms shorten lengthy URL’s (web addresses) so that they look like this; These shortened URL’s can be prone to spam and hacking. Sky Clinic cannot take any liability for damages/implications caused by visiting any shortened links.

Your Rights

As well as the right to opt out of marketing communication, you may request a copy of the personal data we hold for you free of charge, and ask for your information to be amended or removed. To do so, please write to the business address at the bottom of this policy. We will respond to your request within 30 days providing you provide us with proof of identity.
